As the oldest VFW Post in the nation, we are in possession of a large number of unique items and documents covering the span of our organization’s history.

Some of the unique items that we own include:

  • John Stewart's Sword
  • Chain mail shirt with Bamboo Splints used by local insurgents in the Philippines.
  • Rare medals and decorations from Veterans of the Spanish American War.
  • Documents from the founding of the VFW and national encampments from the first half of the 20th Century.
  • Items from every war and conflict that qualifies for membership in the VFW.

We have many, many more items, many of which are invaluable to military history.

BUT we do need help. Years of neglect and poor maintenance have left our artifacts and historical documents in a bad organizational state. We need lots of assistance in renovating our museum, cataloging our artifacts, processing new donations and assisting with organizing. If you can help, know someone who can or would like to contribute money to the restoration and renovation of our museum, please contact our Senior Vice Commander, Izzy Abbass at 303-522-3943.

If you'd like to tour the museum, please contact the Post.
